Job description

  • Exciting opportunity to join SA’s iconic RAA Insurance
  • Full-time permanent position based in Mile End with WFH

This exciting opportunity will see you oversee and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Business Continuity plans, and govern the Event Management Plans to support the operations in the management of large claims events. In addition, you will:
  • Oversee and support the development, implementation and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans, and strategies to mitigate the impact of large claim events on the delivery of end-to-end claims processing and member services for Claims.
  • Maintain the Weather Event Response Plan consistent with the RAA Business Continuity and Disruptive Event and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage regular testing and review programs to capture learnings and drive continuous improvement in our Business Continuity Plans and Weather Event Response Plans.
  • Work with our 1st and 2nd Line Risk and Compliance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Set and deliver of key performance targets established including monthly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis on Business Continuity and Weather Event Plans.

For this role, we’re also looking for:
  • An understanding of compliance, risk, and regulatory incident management frameworks, procedures, systems, tools, and standards including AS/NZ ISO 31000:2018 and APRA Prudential Standards for General Insurance
  • A working knowledge General Insurance Code of Practice, Privacy Principles, Dispute resolution process and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements – APRA, ASIC
  • Experience in leading organisational response to events impacting on Business Continuity
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with a wide variety of key stakeholders
  • Outstanding attention to detail along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be an innovative thinker with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
