Business Controller
Purpose of the role
Act as a business partner to the local Amadeus IT Pacific organizations and provide financial planning and analysis to support management in their decision-making process, reducing risk and identifying new opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
Business partner for Travel Sellers
Coordinate planning activities and reporting analysis to support internal customer decision making process, for the full P&L, liaising with business organization as well as regional and central finance teams. Consolidation and follow up on internal KPIs, accruals and ad hoc customer/product profitability analysis.
Business cases (Online, Corporation as well as co-leading for Retail SME) - Ensure full compliance with BC process and accuracy of data included in BCs, supporting mass market initiative and pre-approved models. Support contract standardization, postmortem analysis and reporting enhancements.
Business partner for R&D, TPE, ACU, SGB and Corporate Support functions
Coordinate planning activities and reporting analysis on FTEs and fixed costs, ensuring alignment with corporate targets, providing recommendations to management in case of deviation and visibility to regional and central finance teams. Consolidation and follow up on internal KPIs, accruals, unit cost and ad hoc cost savings analysis.
Internal systems management
Ensure all systems are correctly maintained (Gross Margin, CPL, BPC, MDM…) and used to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Alignment with Group Controlling policies and automation of new reports ensuring efficient and time effective access to data.
Ambassador of Finance
- internally act as an enabler for change for new processes and tools, including rolling forecast, information governance, multidimensional and predictive reporting, scenario analysis.
- for local employees - relay financial results to internal customers and other relevant information, staff updates.
Experience Required
- University Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics. Professional qualification (CA/CPA) highly regarded.
- 1-3 years in a similar position in a multinational firm
- Experience in customer facing role
- Understanding of the travel and distribution industry highly regarded.
