This Business Development Associate (Hips) role is a great opportunity to join our passionate, driven and successful Sales and Marketing team.

What is the role?

This is a key role in driving the growth of the Enovis Surgical business by creating new total joint customers (surgical) through specific product portfolios and unique Research & Development innovations. 

The role will focus on the development of the Enovis Hip product range and technologies, working closely with the Direct Sales/Product Management teams and the National Business Development Manager. This is a national based role which would require frequent travel supporting the Enovis Surgical business in each state. 

The Business Development Associate will be responsible for consistent and robust surgeon engagement and driving the implementation of product releases across the Enovis product portfolios in line with business strategy. This involves case coverage, identification, targeting and retention of clientele for the business, along with the planning and execution of new Enovis products. In addition, they will provide training and support to surgeons, external sales representatives, and colleagues in the Enovis technology offering (360MedCare).

This role requires a highly motivated and results-oriented professional who can establish and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with practical experience in engineering, science, nursing, health science, or a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical sales/clinical support/product development and engagement, preferably within the orthopaedics field, with a proven track record of expanding customer engagement growth in a similar setting.
  • Clinical experience with Total Hip Replacements (particularly Direct Anterior) is preferential.
  • A strong network and relationships within the healthcare industry.
  • A comprehensive grasp of the medical marketplace, including international markets, trends and its dynamics, including a profound understanding of interacting with medical professionals, particularly physicians, within their workplace and context.
  • Ideally you will have hands-on experience in a clinical setting, providing support and assistance to surgeons, particularly in orthopaedic procedures.
  • A background in quality assurance, understanding of regulatory standards, and experience in process improvement within a medical production environment. 
  • Ability to effectively train and educate medical professionals and staff, ensuring the efficient use of new tools and technologies.
  • Proactive and resilient self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced and highly innovative environment.
  • Influencing skills are critical with strong negotiation skills.
  • Competence in managing complex projects and strategic planning, particularly relating to product development and market expansion. 
  • Ability to identify and pursue commercial opportunities; providing solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Valid Driver’s License as local travel will be a requirement of the role.
  • Willingness to travel regularly – up to 80%.
