Business Development Consultant

We have an exciting opportunity for a BD Consultant to join our team, based in Perth on a 13 month contract. Working with the BD Manager for Perth, our partners and the national BD team, you will provide strategic and tactical support on the office BD strategy to grow revenue and enhance our market position.

This role will be well-suited to a client-centric and ambitious BD Consultant who enjoys coaching partners and lawyers and wants to grow towards taking on more strategic ownership of projects.

Day to day your responsibilities will include;

• Supporting the implementation of BD strategy across the office including coaching partners and lawyers, evaluating progress against plan, and monitoring the implementation of key initiatives
• Facilitating connectivity and involvement of partners across practice groups, including contributing to the building of sector knowledge, expertise, and relationships with relevant associations
• Engaging in and encouraging active support of the firm's Client Listening Programme
• Leading and contributing to the preparation of pitch and bid-documents for firm-wide pitches or Perth matters
• Providing relationship support for priority clients of the firm of particular significance to the Perth office

To be successful in this role, you will have 3-5+ years' professional services experience in a Business Development role, with a particular focus on strategic selling, pursuits management, account management.

You will be enthusiastic, proactive and confident building trusting relationships with key stakeholders. You'll also have:

• Experience project managing major tenders and bids.
• Demonstrated experience building strategic business relationships and identifying/pursuing new business.
• Proven ability to plan and execute against medium term Business Development plans/goals.
• Demonstrated ability in navigating complex matrix organisations.
• Inherent drive to succeed, and proven ability to develop and execute solutions to short term barriers and setbacks.
• Appropriate undergraduate degree qualifications.
