About the Role

We work with Employer Partners to support the recruitment and engagement of culturally diverse candidates and help employers recognise and realise the many benefits gained by engaging a multicultural workforce. The Business Development Coordinator will lead the review, re-design, promotion and delivery of the fee-for-service employment programs. 

We provide a strengths-based approach to equip culturally diverse jobseekers (refugees, people seeking asylum, migrants and international students) with the confidence and understanding needed to successfully  gain sustainable and meaningful employment.  

Key responsibilities

  • Leverage an existing platform of stakeholders and partners, the role will develop a referral stream of stakeholders into fee for service programs and partnerships. 
  • Identify and assess potential new partners, supporting in the execution of service agreements and partnership arrangements, supporting new host partners, establishing referral pathways for new partners, leading marketing and promotional activities for the program 
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high quality services.
  • Placement of candidates into Work & Welcome program, including pre-placement and post-placement support. Develop innovative service design; creating and designing new training resources for support staff; developing systems of support; and continuous improvement of processes for broader workforce and business needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external key stakeholders including, current Work & Welcome partners, and potential future partners and host organisations. 
  • Coordinate and manage the administrative process for new Work & Welcome partners including Service Agreements, all policies and procedures, invoicing and other relevant documentation.
  • Work in collaboration with other Employment teams members to support the delivery of complementary employment and job readiness programs.

Experience required

  • Experience in the employment, recruitment or Business Development sector in a Business Development or similar role, 
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and strategically through utilising high level stakeholder negotiation skills (internal and external) in seeking opportunities for the organisation;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work supportively and collaboratively within a small team;
  • A demonstrated commitment to meeting organisational and team goals outlined in work plans and agreed KPIs according to program priorities and deadlines;
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in influencing decision makers.
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving and exceeding business targets and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of the local labour market and the strengths and weaknesses of the region regarding employment of migrant and refugee candidates.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, HR, Marketing, Human Services and/or Social Work.

Successful candidate will be required to have a valid driver’s licence, police check and apply for a Working with Children Blue Card.
