Job description

About us

The CSBS Group is a NDIS registered provider supporting people with disability across Queensland.

We support people to live life on their terms. Our relationship-based model of co-designing supports places the person at the centre of all their life decisions, so a person can live their best life, make their own plans, and be treated with dignity and respect, free from discrimination.

It is our goal to provide supports that match a person’s preferences and to recruit workers in line with those preferences to deliver customised supports that build skills and abilities for a person to progress toward achieving their goals.

We employ people who reflect the diversity of the people we support. We encourage applications from everyone including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, mature age workers, and LGBTIQA+ communities.

About the role

This dynamic customer-facing role coordinates a range of activities, including the initial process for designing, developing, and delivering quality supports and services for and with people with disability and their families.

With a focus on people with disability, with their life desires and goals at the core, this role has four interconnected parts:

  • Business development – including working closely with the marketing and communications team to build our business profile; developing, and maintaining relationships with key referrers and Business and community groups; writing grant submissions; building our social media profile; creating online business opportunities; preparing for, and attending expos and forums.
  • Customised supports and services & record keeping – including developing new or reviewed service supports design with individuals and families; designing initial quotes for supports; developing service agreements and managing service variations; developing the roster of care as required.
  • Innovation and development – including innovating service design; creating and designing new training resources for support staff; developing systems of support; and continuous improvement of processes for broader workforce and Business needs.
  • Communications – including building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and using sound communication principles and processes as the thread that binds all parts of this role together.

About you

To be successful in this selection, you will be an excellent communicator, with advanced oral and written communications skills.

You will have strong financial acuity and experience in, or the ability to learn how to quote and budget for NDIS services and supports and deliver all service agreement functions.

You will have superior organisations skills and the ability to quickly grasp concepts and information from different sources; from the initial referral processes for Participants, through to creating and co-designing service supports to suit their preferences, wants, and needs. You are passionate about working with and supporting people with disability.

You will have a sophisticated understanding of the disability sector and experience in service design and operationalising supports. You will have a strong and fearless passion for the principles of person-focused, agile, flexible supports, that are driven and governed by the person receiving the supports.

Your networking skills will be essential when working across teams to ensure that the systems, supports, recruitment and service set ups are coordinated and implemented to the highest standards.

You are energetic and can rapidly adapt to changing circumstances and your focus on high-performing teams and inclusive leadership style, will fit in nicely with our workplace culture.

You are a born leader and a natural communicator – an advocate for people’s rights, and a force to behold!

Required probity

  • a Positive Notice Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain the latter
  • a Positive Notice - Blue Card
  • an Open Queensland Driver Licence
  • a reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • a current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.

Desirable

  • At least five years’ experience working with people with disability to deliver person-focused supports and services.
  • A Certificate III or higher for Disability, or Individual Supports, or equivalent.
  • An undergraduate degree – for example in social services, community development or marketing and communication.

In your application, please include a two-page response on how you believe you meet the four key parts of this role and include your relevant experience. Please attach your current resume.
