Hatch's industrial clients across all operating sectors (metals and mining, infrastructure and energy) are in the process of digitally transforming their businesses. Fundamental elements of this transformation relate to the application of new digital technologies to enable new ways of work based on Integrated Operations, Digital Value Chains, Automation and Autonomy, Asset Intelligence, Operational Intelligence and Advanced Planning and Scheduling.
Hatch is looking for an entrepreneurial thought leader with proven experience in engaging industrial clients to drive innovative application of digital ideas. This will involve:
- Business Development and Sales Growth of Digital services and solutions
- Engaging with key client stakeholders to understand the specific business value and or operational needs and propose appropriate solution requirements and close the deal
- Be adept at selling Hatch's services and products to generate business and revenue for Hatch aligned to its growth aspirations and strategy
- Be active in the market on a day to day basis by meeting with clients, introducing members of the Hatch Digital team and develop an in depth understanding of the market and needs
- Promoting Hatch Digital capability and building brand eminence and awareness through constant market connectivity and relevance
- Key to success will be the ability to understand client needs and industry trends and leverage internal and external relationships to identify, target and realize digital strategies and visions with practical digital technology solutions. High value use cases will be developed through relationships that span client teams, Hatch's internal advisory team consultants, Hatch's deep industry experts, and external suppliers to understand their technologies and applications.
- Lead the team's Business Development by identifying leads, qualifying new sales pursuits and opportunities, formulating proposals and crafting work and project approaches to meet client needs and requirements
- Secure new business and extend existing engagement for Digital in target Digital Solution Areas and territories dependant on client locations, mainly Western Australia with some exceptions depending on client operations in other Australian states.
- Work closely with other Hatch Business Unit leadership and their clients to support the development of opportunities and securing of new business
- Development of client pursuit plans, account plans, presentations and business cases
- Take responsibility for scoping and selling projects that can be delivered to a quality standard and mitigates financial and delivery risk
- The following indicates specific industry, academic and functional experience/qualifications that are critical to the successful achievement of the identified responsibilities and performance deliverables. We believe that these are the minimum required experience and welcome all candidates exceeding these requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- 10-15 years' industry experience in either metals and mining and pit to port solutions preferably with a background in Technology, Industry 4.0, and Digital
- Successful track record and experience in a Business Development role carrying full cycle B2B sales responsibility with a solid commercial appreciation of scoping and closing deals
- Knowledge of Digital/Industry 4.0-like applications with experience being in at least one of the following: Control Systems; Operational and Production Systems (MES/MOM); EAM; IT/OT Integration; Analytics; Optimisation/Simulation; Operations Research; Autonomous and Automation; or other Digital/IR4.0 speciality
