About this opportunity

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining knowledge of market conditions, and achieving sales targets in order to grow our AU cable cover and slipsheet markets. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction, building long-term relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the Division.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Achieving sales targets set by the organization by actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media, and effectively closing deals.
  • Staying informed about market trends and competitor activities. This accountability includes conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluating customer needs to better position the company’s offerings.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans to expand the customer base and ensure a strong presence in the market.
  • Deciding on the appropriate sales approach and methodologies, including choosing between direct and indirect sales, face-to-face interactions, and the degree of personalization in sales pitches.
  • Balance competitive pricing with profitability considerations including production costs, market demand, competitor pricing, and overall economic conditions

Your skills and experience

  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Being able to strategize effectively, identify market opportunities
  • Have experience in a nationwide role and willing to travel frequently to carry out sales visits.
  • Proven account management experience
  • Previous experience in construction/manufacturing industry preferred

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualified or equivalent experience.
  • C Class Driver's License
