Business Development Manager

The company
This well-known and trusted national manufacturer and distributor of LV electrical and industrial automation products is seeking a Business Development Manager in Perth.
  
The position
Actively promoting a portfolio of solutions, including industrial automation, motors and motor control, and LV power distribution products. This role will be calling on End Users, EPC’s, Industrial Contractors, Utilities, System Integrators & OEM’s.

To achieve this, you will need to have a strong industrial automation or power distribution background, the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your work, great communication skills, and a desire to provide exceptional service.
  
Duties include:

• Developing & executing sales action plans aligned with the state strategy.
• Making an average of 40 face to face sales calls per month.
• Achieving individual & team sales targets, gross margin, and contribution targets.
• Creating sales call reports & maintaining quotations in the CRM to meet the requirements of your role.
• Collaborating with both local and national teams to ensure that effective resources are allocated to opportunities.
• Providing first class customer experience and growing brand recognition within the WA market.
• Attending industry related events for Business Development, networking & market intelligence.

  
Skills & experience required:

• An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred, but not essential.
• Solid sales experience coupled with an industrial automation OR a power distribution background.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn and to create solutions.
