Business Development Manager - Green Mobile Power Infrastructure & Technology Services

We are an innovative company specialising in the manufacture of solar and hybrid mobile power infrastructure and the implementation of technology and communications products on mobile machinery at mine sites.
We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development professional to derive a robust sales strategy. Targeting new business leads based on the customer technology direction and develop strategic sales relationships to build the company sales channels. You will also work closely with our engineering team to design custom power infrastructure to meet our customers requirements, develop well communicated and clear proposals to communicate our strong product offering to the customer.

This role will require technical knowledge of engineered products, the ability to contribute to design direction within an engineering team, preferably in a power system or communications background. We would welcome candidates that have a passion for sales but have come from a technical background.
Your experience and knowledge will assist the business moving forward in this crucial role. You will ensure accurate pricing of our products and services and engage with clients. The candidate will be responsible for all internal and external stakeholder engagement to ensure we meet deadlines for all large tenders/proposals, including participating in new product development to meet specific opportunities.
You will be responsible for overseeing all public communications including: LinkedIn, YouTube and other social media sites and an expectation to attend trade fairs and client sites to ensure the company has a clear understanding of the opportunities that exist and how we can develop adequate solutions.
You will oversee and drive sales and marketing strategies across our multiple business units.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
Essential:
- High level of initiative and drive is essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to quickly understand engineered products and customer requirements.
- Experience in marketing, sales or Business Development.
- Attention to detail, Previous experience with proposal drafting and general documentation
- Be able to solve problems, and think critically.
- Be comfortable working in a small team and autonomously without need for supervision.
- Effective time-management skills.
- Effective negotiator and research skills to achieve optimal lead generation.
- Excellent inter-personal communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to pass a medical exam & drug and alcohol screen at any time.
- Valid drivers licence.
Desirable:
- Experience with and knowledge of solar or hybrid energy systems.
- Working knowledge of the general mining industry.
- Knowledge and experience of light engineering and light manufacturing sector.
