Job description

Primary Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to:
  • Manage and growing the sales route.
  • Additional inputs into marketing, and sales process.
Key Result Area
Business Development
  • Establish and manage an agreed Sales Budget with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing, to be monitored on a weekly basis and reviewed monthly
  • Establish business to business sales channel/s in line with monthly KPI’s for the nominated region.
  • Be proactive in assisting the State General Manager’s exposure to seek and identify opportunities for Burbank, such as new display opportunities, land acquisitions
  • Create compelling proposals and presentations with tracked KPI’s linked to performance.
  • Drive innovation across the Hunter region and areas of business activity
  • Establish new sales networks to assist in increasing sales opportunities, tracked to specific performance milestones.
  • Create and manage an ongoing “call list” of Developer partners on a weekly / bi-weekly basis.
Marketing Support
  • Implement and support strategic marketing campaigns (which may be specific to regions) in conjunction with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing
  • Drive continual brand enhancement in all internal and external communication activities
  • Develop, implement & support all advertising campaigns to ensure the highest outcome is always achieved
  • Develop Sales & Marketing strategies with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing to deliver the most cost-effective levels of marketing & advertising activities to achieve and exceed the agreed strategies and sales budgets
Reports
  • Report directly to the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing on all aspects of Sales activities and performance.
  • Establish and maintain regular reporting rhythm agreed with State GM Marketing / Sales
  • Ensure that all key performance indicators on the Burbank Leads System are accurately collected, maintained and managed. These incorporate all statistics collated in Burbank’s CRM system Click Home, eg: including data that involves traffic levels at each sales platform; leads analysis and data; deposits, conversion rates and sales of the team
Quality Control
  • Ensure the highest standard of documentation is provided at all times in accordance with the required level of documentation to allow the accurate & efficient preparation of the customer’s contracts
  • Ensure “best practice” is developed and transferred throughout Burbank
Displays & Product Development
  • In conjunction with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing, plan and oversee that all future display locations achieve the highest possible outcome for Burbank from the target market including:
  • o the selection and layout of the homes
  • o the selection of allotments within the village
  • o selection of the village
  • In conjunction with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing plan & oversee the exit strategy requirements of all existing display locations are managed to be in-sync with new, replacement locations so as to achieve the optimum outcome with respect to product representation, brand and sales personnel
  • In conjunction with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing plan & oversee that product development achieves the highest possible outcome for Burbank from the perspective of the market
Customer Care & Presentation
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided at all times is scaled across all employees
  • Cultivating and nurturing strong relationship with prospective and existing clients
  • Ensure all clients’ needs are address and responded to in the agreed and expected timeframes
  • Monitor and provide valued feedback on customer demands for the continual improvement of Burbank’s product, business processes and service requirements
  • In conjunction with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing ensure the standard of presentation of all sales centres are professional, tidy and of the highest possible standard at all times. This includes point of sale material, signage, display décor, gardens, equipment, lighting and personnel
Workflow
  • Through the use of the Leads System Reports, monitor and drive the submission of new home deposits so as to achieve “Accepted Sales” status
  • In conjunction with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing develop and implement procedures and systems for the continual improvement and efficient processing of work in to and through the business
Networking
  • Perpetuate a positive level of networking with all key industry contacts to continually improve opportunities within the region as well as promote the Burbank brand
  • In conjunction with the State General Manager of Sales & Marketing introduce land and development opportunities to Burbank especially for core business activities ie: house & land packages
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (including government, land developers, prospects and customers, suppliers and local communities).
  • Positioning Burbank as a market leader within the industry
  • Represent the Company as required with key stakeholders as required.
  • Regularly meet key developer partners to review opportunities, campaigns and other action items
  • Actively represent Burbank positively at all available industry events, conferences, and network opportunities as agreed with the State GM Marketing and Sales
  • Holding events such as information nights with developers and clients
Competitors
  • Monitor and report on Burbank’s key competitor through tracking of their activities, visitations to their sales platforms, tracking pricing, marketing and sales techniques
  • Conducting market research to identify trends, opportunities and competitor analysis
  • Market research analysis of purchasers and competitors’ activity to aid in strategic decision making to increase sales
Key Stakeholder Relationships
  • Internal – Executive team: Managing Director, General Manager, Senior Management Team and Board, other staff
  • External – A range of business contacts of the Executive Team, clients, their families and the wider community
  
  
Qualities & Qualifications: 
  • Have an existing network within the Hunter region to leverage off in both retail and wholesale sectors
  • Be across recent NCC changes and requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years in the residential volume home building /development industry
  • Sound knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards related to residential construction, Greenfields Housing Code & Planning outcomes
  • Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and control own workload and team
  • Strong change management skills and abilities, positive attitude, resourceful & resilient.
  • Ability to keep up to date with technological changes.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate, promote and uphold Display Team and RDD initiatives and values, including discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to contribute towards the development and implementation of Display programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the organization
  • Approachable, supportive and fair to staff to ensure they feel engaged and assist them in setting their career path and skills they need to acquire to meet their goals.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to resolve complex issues
  • Ability to influence others, communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and see projects through to completion
  • Proactive and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment
