Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Planning, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will lead Micro-X's efforts in pursuing and capturing business opportunities for their advanced X-ray technology portfolio. This role extends to managing partnership and sales opportunities scoping across imaging subsystems, including X-ray tubes, high voltage generators, control systems, and image reconstruction software, aimed at B2B customers. Additionally, the BDM will play a crucial role in identifying, pursuing, and capturing opportunities for new X-ray systems in emerging markets such as Defence, Space, Mining, and Non-Destructive Testing, in addition to leading commercial negotiations and extensive stakeholder management.
The successful candidate must have proven expertise in identifying and securing new business opportunities, in a similar environment and role. You will possess strong technical acumen along with excellent communication skills and a background in systems/subsystems within a related business field being highly advantageous. You will be a highly motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, paired with a limitless, can-do attitude and keen desire to contribute effectively to achieving the organisations goals. A degree or higher in a related discipline such as Business, Marketing, Engineering is essential.
