The purpose of this role is to create data visualizations and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Collecting and analysing data, identifying trends and patterns
- Generating insights and recommendations
- Developing data models and visualisations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and staying updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
- Assist in Defining and documenting business data models
- Assist with identification of cleaning and organizing data to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
- Assist with developing and implementing data models.
- Creating data visualizations and reports to communicate insights effectively
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
- Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and insights generation
- Providing recommendations and actionable insights based on data analysis.
The key skills of the Data and Reporting Analyst include:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their information needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure a consistent flow of accurate data for analysis.
- Design and build create visually appealing and informative data visualizations, dashboards and reports using Power BI and other data visualization tools.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends and patterns that inform business decisions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software such as MSSQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI. Familiarity with data warehousing and data modelling concepts. Experience with data extraction tools (ETL/ELT). Proven experience with Power BI -have worked with dataflows, semantic models and created complex dashboards.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and solve complex business problems using data-driven approaches.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborate with different departments, and translate business requirements into data analysis tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy, identify anomalies or errors, and maintain data integrity throughout the analysis process.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends, advancements in data analysis techniques, and emerging technologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
