About the role
 

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analystto join the growing team on a permanent, full time basis.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for owning and implementing a comprehensive knowledge product and Business Intelligence strategy across multiple products for Elders. Elders is uniquely placed to provide its clients with in-depth market insights based on a range of public and proprietary information sources. Initially the role will be responsible for publishing the Rural Property Update and analyse of key agricultural market segments for the Elders Marketing Insights products and webpage (https://elders.com.au/for-farmers/market-insights/).

The role will be responsible for building on the success of Elders exiting Market Insights services, and drive growth through the development of innovative knowledge products for internal and external clients. We would expect the successful candidate will develop their own internal and external profile as a thought leader in market analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyse a wide range of market and industry data
• Maintain existing Elders Market Insights Products including the Elders Market Insights web page, the Rural Property Update, and the Livestock Now portal
• Work closely with a range of Elders field staff and technical experts to match data with deep and insightful in field commentary
• Work closely with the communications team to provide market insight data input for key and varied communications
• Look for opportunities to utilise Elders propriety data sources for internal and external knowledge products
• Ensure the products are relevant, timely and valued by Elders clients and staff

About you

• Strong analytical skills and deep independent thinking
• Strong communication skills
• Able to articulate complex economic and financial analysis to a range of internal and external audiences
• Agricultural or related industry experience essential
• Commodity market experience - preferred
• Interest and experience in business development
• Must be able to develop strong relationships across the Elders Network
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in economics and/or finance - essential
