Business Intelligence Analyst
Term Contract - Full Time - 24 months
Salary from $91,464.18 to $109,356.20 per annum plus superannuation. (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications)

Do you have a passion for data-driven insights and data visualisation? We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to support and assist Council in achieving organisational objectives and strategic initiatives using data informed decision making.
You will be building and maintaining Business Intelligence reporting platforms to support and enhance the delivery of Council's services to the community. A high level of technical knowledge on modern data and analytics concepts working in the Microsoft Azure stack to develop ETLs, data warehousing models, and insightful reports in Power BI will be required. You will be working with a range of technologies to ingest data and derive insights from it, including IoT devices, API integrations, and traditional data sources.
Abouttherole
This position requires a high level of analytical, stakeholder engagement, and systems skills to pipeline, model, and draw insights from data for Business Intelligence. Exceptional problem-solving skills applied to IoT, enterprise analytics, and Smart Cities projects will ensure the successful delivery of strategies and plans for Council and the community.
Ideally, we are seeking a person to fill this position on a full-time basis. Request to work part time will be considered for the right applicant.
What you will be doing:
You will be tasked with delivering end-to-end Business Intelligence reporting platforms on a range of IoT, enterprise analytics, and Smart Cities based projects. This will require you to engage with key stakeholders to gather complete system requirements and continuously work with them to turn data into critical information to make sound business decisions.
In developing these systems, you will work closely with other technical teams, vendors, and remote sensing technologies to extract, load, and transform data. By following best practices for reporting and analysis, you will develop scalable dashboards and reports to support the analytical needs of the business, whilst using strong analytical skills to articulate complex information to embed solutions with the end users.
About you:
- Well-versed in tools to analyse and report on data for Business Intelligence using the most appropriate software (e.g. Power Bi or Tableau, Dashboards and Reports, Excel, etc.).
- Experienced in data integration including ETL tools like Azure Data Factory or Azure Logic Apps to ingest data from a variety of sources including API integrations, IoT devices, and traditional data sources.
- High level of technical knowledge to design and develop modern data warehousing models to derive insights from data for a variety of applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to both work within a team environment and liaise with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of projects.
