Business Intelligence Developer to join our Glencore Technology team. This role will be based residentially in Brisbane on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for:- Designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive data models and reporting systems across Glencore Technology’s business units, ensuring data integrity and consistency for informed decision-making
- Lead the creation and continuous improvement of dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports
- Leverage SAP systems to write complex SQL queries for enhanced data analysis and reporting
- Utilise Microsoft fabric and demonstrate proficiency in Python and PySpark for advanced data manipulation and analysis
- Develop skills in SQL, SparkSQL, and data pipeline construction to enhance data flow and storage solutions
- Collaborates with end-users and other members of the team to collect and coordinate business requirements for the use of analytics and reporting
- Turn raw information into insights, dashboards, and reports to provide ad-hoc reporting and analytics services and proactively support business decisions and processes
- Document processes & how to guides in reference to Power BI dashboards
- Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand their data needs, translating these into actionable BI solutions that drive value and competitive advantage
- Expand knowledge on Power Platform development, including Power Apps and Power Automate, supplemented with basic JavaScript and API integration skills
To be successful, you will need:- A bachelor’s degree in business Intelligence, Systems Planning, or another relevant degree
- 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, System Planning, or Data Engineering
- Experience in data engineering (Pyspark, Sparksql, Data pipelines & Dataflow Gen2) and data reporting
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft fabric Items (Lakehouse, Notebooks, Data Pipelines, Dataflows and so on.)
- Knowledge of SAP and ability to integrate SAP outputs into business reporting
- Microsoft related certification on Power BI and Fabric would be a plus
- Expertise using Power BI & Power Apps
- Strong command of SQL and DAX syntax
- The ability to breakdown technical concepts into simpler terms for all levels of the organisation
- Strong business and stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including written and verbal communication. Able to upskill business users in the use of analytics, insights and reporting tools
- Excellent problem solving and analytic skills
