• Business Intelligence Developer
• 6m contract + possible extension
• Brisbane based (Hybrid Model - on site 3 days per week)

The purpose of this role is to be a leading part of the BI Community as a BI SME and assist with the system administration of PowerBI, reports, data modeling and customer solutions design. The role will also support Management and other business functions and contribute to the development of standards, frameworks and guides to standardise report design, data automation and reuse.

Experience and knowledge

• Experience with Business Intelligence frameworks, technologies and tools. Experience with administration of Power BI, and desirable to have Microsoft Azure and SSIR/SSRS exposure.
• Experience with Designing, Building and Maintaining complex Power BI dashboards, data visualizations, regular and impromptu reports, and data querying tools for users to get the information they require.
• Solid Experience working with Structured Query Language (SQL), DAX or PLSQL.
• Proven experience in capturing business requirements and producing data related designs or architectures to meet those requirements.
• Experience producing and reviewing conceptual and logical data models, and associated documentation.
• Proven communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of an organisation.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to take initiative, prioritise tasks, manage workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with peers, management, internal customers and business stakeholders.
• A self-starter able to prioritise work based on business needs.
• Ability to meet deadlines and assist others to achieve theirs.
• Experience organising, managing and running business facing training/workshops.
• Desirable: An understanding of Australia’s National Energy Market and industry
• Desirable: Experience with data governance and associated corporate structures
