I am currently partnering with one of Queensland's largest Government Departments to recruit an experienced Business Intelligence Specialist to assist with a business improvement and process up-lift project of work. This is an initial 3-month day rate contract based in Brisbane's CBD with some work flexibility options available.
This key Queensland Government Department is seeking a skilled BI Specialist (Power BI) to play a key role in optimising their Business Intelligence capabilities and ensuring efficient data-driven decision-making or future technology initiatives.
In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise in Power BI to:
- Process Improvement: Identify and define better processes and workflows within the Business Intelligence team;
- Team Upskilling: Contribute to building the team's technical skills and knowledge of BI best practices;
- Data Architecture Analysis: Collaborate with the technical team to gain a thorough understanding of the current data architecture and reporting practices;
- Process Evaluation: Analyse data collection and reporting practices from recent processes, identifying areas for improvement;
- Actionable Insights: Refine processes to ensure accurate and timely data presentation for future initiatives; and
- Outcome-Focused Approach: Implement data-driven solutions with a clear focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness.
You are the ideal candidate if you possess:
- Strong experience working with Power BI and other data visualisation tools;
- A keen understanding of data transformation and ETL processes;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- The ability to translate complex data into clear and concise reports and dashboards;
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; and
- A passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
