Our client is a leading organisation in the CBD, a well-known Institution visited by thousands of tourists every year. They are seeking a dedicated Senior Risk & Compliance professional to join their team and support their mission by ensuring robust risk management and compliance practices. This is a 3 months contract with an opportunity to extend.
Position: Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst (3 months with view to extend)
Location: Melbourne CBD, Australia - 2 days in office, 3 days WFH
Main Responsibilities
- Draft comprehensive reports for the Risk Management and Audit Committee (RMAC) and the Executive team.
- Facilitate and conduct training sessions on Operational Risk Management and Risk Wizard.
- Oversee and conduct annual Business Continuity Plan (BCP) reviews.
- Assist in the management and coordination of Internal Audits.
- Conduct 2nd line audit activities, such as Food Safety audits.
- Lead or assist with breach investigations.
- Develop and update policies and procedures related to risk and compliance.
- Facilitate operational risk assessments and provide expert risk and compliance advice.
- Manage data collection and collation for various reports including RMAC reporting, Standing Directions, Financial Reporting, and regular management reports.
- Maintain and update risk and compliance registers and related documentation.
- Manage and administer digital systems, including Risk & Compliance software (Risk Wizard) and Intranet systems.
- Coordinate and manage internal audit projects, including audit action follow-ups.
Selection Criteria
- Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Compliance, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in risk management, compliance or audit.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to conduct training and facilitate reviews effectively.
- Experience in managing and coordinating audits.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
- Ability to provide practical and strategic risk and compliance advice.
