Within UNSW Planning and Performance (UPP), we build capability in key areas of business intelligence and planning based on the reliable and robust data that the UPP manages through ownership of the enterprise data warehouse, Information Hub and Data and Information Governance.
Why Your Role Matters:
The Business Analyst, Student Load Forecasting (SLF) leads the planning, coordination and delivery of key UNSW business processes and activities to support Student Load Forecasting; particularly the delivery of complex forecasting, implementation, system enhancements, business process improvements and scenario analysis. The Business Partner works closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead change in processes from implementation of new Student Load Forecasting tool
- Manage and contribute to process documentation, through relevant consultancy with different stakeholders involved in the Student Load Forecasting processes at UNSW
- Ensure a smooth process transition related to student load annual planning and rolling forecasts
- Coordinate and contribute to the development of supporting toolkits designed to guide internal and external stakeholders through new student load forecasting processes Respond to enquiries and requests from stakeholders and prepare reports and data visualisations
- Maintain awareness of data governance and data quality requirements
Who You Are:
- Previous experience in higher education and student data highly advantageous
- Experience working on project implementing tools and software implementation
- Advanced project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for business partnering
- Evidenced ability to write Structured Query Language (SQL) and Python/PySpark
- Client focused work ethic with excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
