My client is a boutique CA accounting and advisory firm. They have a strong focus on technology and innovation, and aim to provide people-focused solutions to their clients.
The Director and Senior Manager come from a larger firm background and have sought to implement the same standards, procedures, and technicality of these firms. Albeit in a much more pleasant, informal, and relaxed environment. They pride themselves on transparency and maintaining an open-door policy with their team - involving them in business decisions and strategy. As a result, they have a built out a very capable and stable team of 10.
Due to growth, they are now seeking an experienced Supervisor/Manager to join the team. This role would be part-time (3 - 4 days) to support another part-time Manager. This would be the ideal position for a parent returning to the workforce, or someone just looking for a professional and stimulating environment that can offer flexibility for personal/family commitments.
This role will offer a mix of both hand’s on and review work. The ideal candidate will be client facing, have a can-do attitude, and a team-oriented approach.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a firm that can offer you a clear career path and will reward you for your performance not just tenure.
Key duties will include:
- Statutory compliance for companies, trusts, individuals and partnerships
- Reviewing the work of junior accountants and providing mentorship and training
- Undertaking tax research and working on advisory projects
- Communicating with clients and strengthening relationships
- Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies
- Working collaboratively with management peers and the Director to lead and motivate the team
The ideal candidate will posses:
- CA or CPA qualification
- 6 + years relevant accounting experience - including a minimum of 18 months in a supervisory or management level role
- Strong multitasking skills to manage individual and team workflow efficiently
- A proactive approach to tasks and challenges
