The Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA)'s vision is to build a more disaster resilient Queensland.
In this role you will contribute to QRA's vison by working in an agile way to deliver timely travel bookings to a range of regional and isolated locations across Queensland.
A key challenge in this role will be to coordinate a high volume of quality travel bookings in response to disaster events
Coordinate travel arrangements and process bookings in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective travel outcomes for the division.
- Prioritise and process bookings for the division including flights, accommodation and vehicle hire using booking and approval systems.
- Follow current Queensland government and QRA policies and procedures, including for travel and safety, and actively contribute to providing feedback or suggestions for continual improvement.
- Modify travel arrangements to minimise any limitations for remote and isolated locations.Maintain up to date systems and tools to ensure capacity to manage a high volume of varied travel requests during events.
- Distribute travel policy updates and advice to relevant internal stakeholders across QRA and build collaborative relationships to share knowledge.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external contacts such as the Queensland Government Travel Team and travel suppliers and represent QRA at forums.
- Develop accurate cyclical and adhoc reports that support the monitoring of trends, costs, and risks.
- Provide a range of administration support to the team for travel arrangements or other administration functions for the effective operation of the division.
- From time to time this role may require outside of hours work as part on an on-call roster; during events some outside of hour's work will be required as part on an on-call roster
