South Burnett Regional Council is one of the largest employers within the region, with offices and depots located in Kingaroy, Nanango, Wondai, Murgon, Proston and Blackbutt.

About the Region

The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. About the role

• Based in Kingaroy
• Permanent Full Time 
• $71K - $82K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking an officer to effectively contribute to the development, maintenance and support of Council's Business Systems through the provision of specialist advice, analysis, and support within Council. This role will provide helpdesk support, configure system modules, and create appropriate reporting capabilities to reflect business requirements. This position will also provide service to ensure the development and maintenance of good working relationships with all staff, and all key stakeholders. The successful applicant will have a sound understanding and demonstrated experience in the management of Local Government Business Systems (specifically the TechnologyOne Suite), ability to provide effective helpdesk support, hold experience in development and delivery of end user training, as well as ability to problem solve, manage time and exercise good judgment/ initiative.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence

Desirable Qualifications

• Certificate IV Information Technology, Business or Project Management (or significant proven experience in a relevant field)

Skills and experience

**Please address the following key selection criteria items below, as part of your application**

• Sound understanding and demonstrated experience in the management of Local Government Business Systems, specifically the TechnologyOne suite, and an ability to adapt as systems are upgraded, redeveloped, or integrated.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively provide helpdesk support to users across all levels of the organisation with variable levels of technical understanding.
• Proven experience in the development and delivery of effective end user training via a variety of training platforms (i.e., face-to-face, video and skype).
• Proven experience in the configuration and testing of system changes for the delivery of system implementations, including development of appropriate reporting mechanisms.
• Sound organisational and project skills with the ability to problem solve, establish work priorities across multiple tasks, meet competing deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative, confidentiality, and accuracy in the performance of duties, as well as soft skills including positive attitude, being a team player and focus on continuous improvement and personal development.
