Leading not for profit organisationFull time or Part time traineeship position until June 2024 with possibility of extensionLocated on the lands of the Gorualgal people of the Eora Nation in North Sydney. Occasional travel may be required within the region.Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. It is a member of the national Network of Carers' Associations. It has an exclusive focus on supporting and advocating for carers of all ages and circumstances.We are looking for an Indigenous Business Trainee to join our Team and complete a qualification in Business. You will be supported and encouraged during your traineeship with our Cultural Mentor guiding you on all aspects of your journey.Carers NSW is a flexible and adaptable organisation that values the wide spectrum of life experience, so we would love to hear from applicants with experience or an understanding of caring or disability. Part-time hours will be considered for the ideal candidate.We are after someone who has: • Sound administrative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs• An interest in finance/accounting or social/community services.• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy• Effective time management and organisational skills• Strong commitment to teamwork• Ability to follow procedures as required• Demonstrate initiative to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently• Experience using technology (computers/telephones/software packages) It would also be a bonus if you have an:• Understanding of and commitment to carer issues and needsDoes this role sound like you, but you don't meet the criteria perfectly?
