Qualifications & experience
- No formal qualifications are required, however, previous experience in meat of food industry will be an advantage.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Breaking down beef, lamb and pork carcasses into primal cuts for further processing.
- Creating value added products for sale.
- Serving customers in person over the counter and over the phone.
- Trimming, slicing and packing meat onto trays for sale over the counter.
- Cleaning and maintaining the workplace to the relevant standards.
- Preparing sausage and mince product for sale.
- Developing your skills and taking on responsibilities as your apprenticeship progresses.
- Ordering stock ensuring sufficient levels for the operation of the business.
- Rotating stock by following workplace practices.
