The Role
Joining a well-established team of Butchers, this role will have the opportunity to work with quality meat products and contribute to the creation of pre-prepared meals their customers have come to love. Whilst applicants with previous leadership/supervisory experience are highly desirable, graduates and final year apprentices are also encouraged to apply!
Reporting to the Head Butcher, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Assisting the Butcher Department with the preparation and packing of quality meat products, ensuring all food handling and safety standards are adhered to.
- Promoting a safe work environment and contributing to ongoing development of best practices, waste mitigation, and safety procedures.
- Providing high-quality customer service, promptly responding to all orders and enquiries.
- Ensuring prompt and clear communication between team members and other department managers when needed.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and paperwork of activities undertaken.

To be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria:
- Previous retail butcher experience or similar industry
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring all food safety standards are adhered to
- Friendly, approachable, and able to work with a culturally-diverse team
- Relevant trade qualifications in Retail Butchery or Meat Processing
- Open Driver’s licence and reliable transport (essential)
