We are currently looking for a highly motivated and reliable qualified butcher for our Mareeba store. You will work under the supervision of the Meat Manager to ensure that maximum sales and customer satisfaction are achieved through producing a quality product and ensuring excellent presentation.
This is a full time role. You may be required to work a roster which may include weekends and public holidays. Essential Criteria
- Have a Certificate III in Meat Processing, or equivalent/above trade qualification
- Experience in retail preferred
- Demonstrate good customer service skills
- A strong understanding of stock rotation and stock management
- Demonstrate experience in controlling wastage and meat cutting techniques
- Good merchandising and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of WH&S and food safety requirements
- Able to communicate clearly and negotiate with people from different backgrounds and roles (such as suppliers, customers, or staff)
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (for example: ability to calculate markdowns, conduct stocktakes, comprehend company policies, fill in forms)
- Demonstrate personal integrity and accountability for performance
