The Role:
Working across our IGA on Bloomfield and IGA Mt Cotton you'll report directly to the Butchery Manager's at both locations, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of products, including cutting, trimming, and slicing
- Operation of machinery and equipment, including mincer, grinder, and band saw, etc.
- Packing, wrapping, and labelling products (as required)
- Attending to the Meat Cabinet, including displaying products, and maintaining presentation
- Providing exemplary customer service, including responding to enquiries and requests
- Maintaining general department cleanliness
- Compliance with all relevant legislation, including Food Safety, Trade Measurement, and Occupational Health & Safety, etc.
- Uphold and maintain all Policies & Procedures, including uniform standards
- Any other tasks as required by the Butchery Manager and Store Manager
About you:
- Trade qualified Butcher or a Knife Hand looking for a casual 3 days per week role with the ability to flex up to cover annual leave
- Proficient in Merchandising
- Ability to provide a high-level of customer service
- Highly organised and efficient with good work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast paced team environment achieving KPI's
- Experience with retail ready products wholesaling would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to adhere to all Policies & Procedures
