ABOUT THE ROLE
The Cabinet Shop Instructor delivers instruction and provides supervision in the Cabinet Shop to meet both the prison and contract orders. The position will provide relief assistance within the prison’s workshops where required by prison management and is responsible for the provision of productive work for prisoners in all facets of the cabinet work industry at the prison.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies at similar locations, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.

ELIGIBILITY
Valid manual "C" class motor vehicle driving licence
Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) accreditation (or equivalent) with a minimum of 12 months validity remaining
Certificate III in Cabinet Making and/or
Certificate III in Furniture Making
Construction Industry White Card
