Cabinet maker/installer
This role is aimed at someone who enjoys being part of rewarding projects from start to finish.
You would be building residential joinery projects such as full kitchens, wardrobes, study rooms etc. (with the odd commercial project every now and then) with no more than 2 other people, sometimes it would be just you by yourself.
You would be ensuring the job/room was completed before sending to site for installation, making sure all items necessary for the job to be installed are with the kitchen/wardrobe and ensuring as much work was completed at the factory before sending it to site for install.
You would be responsible for ensuring each joinery item was protected and loaded carefully and secured properly ready for transportation to site, you would be involved with the site delivery and then you would be installing the joinery to nothing less than a perfect standard.
You will have the ability to work unsupervised and solve problems on the fly whilst representing the company well, by way of keeping the site/home clean and liaising with the client/builder when appropriate.
You would need all your own tools, white card, driver's license, work boots, Certificate 3 in cabinetmaking or similar, approximately 5 years' experience, onsite installing experience highly regarded, and an ability to prioritize quality over speed.
This is a great lifestyle role for the right candidate, allowing you to work 38 hours a week.
This role is unique in the way that you will be involved in a large percentage of the joinery process, from beginning to end, allowing you to learn and further develop your career in a way that one may not receive at a larger shop where your tasks are limited to one part of the process.
