Position Available: 3D CAD Designer / Draftsperson

About the Role:
In this role, you'll be involved in every stage of our projects, from initial design concepts to final implementation. You'll work on a variety of projects, ranging from prefabricated construction to innovative finishing solutions like aluminium facades and organic façade structures using GRC and resin composites techniques.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of design or CAD drafting experience.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred).
- Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with workshop and fabrication teams.
- Innovative mindset with clear communication and presentation skills.
- Efficient time management and proficiency in PC skills.
- Competency in spreadsheet software.
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of architectural and structural drawings.
- Experience in drafting for structural steel, sheet metal, and general metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and prefab design methodology.
- Familiarity with ACM, GRC, and resin moulding facade products.
- Proficiency in other software such as 2D CAD and Rhinoceros.
Duties:
- Generate architectural drawings, plans, and specifications aligned with client preferences.
- Contribute to the development and customization of existing designs.
- Utilise CAD software for 3D modelling and detailed drawings.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to produce precise 3D models and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and professionals throughout the construction process.
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers on technical details for fabrication.
- Finalise architectural designs while maintaining accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Develop and present design proposals to clients, incorporating feedback into the design process.
- Adhere to company and client CAD, drafting, and design standards.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design.
- TAFE and/or CAD-related diploma.
