About the role

We have an excellent opportunity for a CAD Manager to join our team.

This is an important role within the business which will see you supported by our Digital Engineering Lead to lead best practice in design drafting so that CMP can consistently deliver high quality drawings and 3D models for our clients. What’s exciting about this role is that you will set the standard for design drafting, supporting a broad group of design drafters with the resources, tools and training that they need to be successful in their roles.

What will you be doing?

• Providing technical leadership to a broad group of designers, across civil, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical and process disciplines.
• Responsibility for the consistent quality of CAD deliverables.
• Ensuring that the tools needed for CAD work are continually being improved and being used optimally.
• Implementing the standards, procedures, workflows and training needed to continually improve the efficiency and outcomes of our design drafting.
• Design drafting and reviews on projects in line with your area of expertise.

About You

We would like you to have a can-do attitude and bring a consultative approach, with an ability to prioritise your work and get things done – and to enjoy what you do, like we do.

Ideally you will also possess the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Drafting or Engineering
• Significant CAD experience in multi-disciplinary engineering projects
• Revit, Civil 3D, and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud experience is desirable but not essential
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently as required
• Experience in successfully leading a technical team
• Previous experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects preferred but not essential.
