The Opportunity

We’re currently searching for a highly driven Cadet Environmental Health Officer to join us here at Council.  This position is vital in keeping the community safe by ensuring public and Environmental Health measures are upheld to the highest standards.

This opportunity is for a person who has a previous qualification, including but not limited to health, science and environment and who is eligible to undertake a post graduate degree in Environmental Health, as accredited by Environmental Health Australia (EHA).

The position will be offered as a Full Time, Fixed Term period of 2 years whilst you complete your degree. 

The Role

The Cadet Environmental Health Officer is a professional position with responsibility to assist delivery of the Council’s public health and environmental management services.

The position provides opportunity to apply your learning and to further develop professional skills in a supporting and challenging environment.

We need you to be a motivated, organised and engaged person with strong administration, organisational, and interpersonal skills.  You will be a high performer with the ability to use sound judgement, follow process, be comfortable working autonomously and part of a team, and thrive on delivering exceptional service.
