Your Assignment |
Working alongside a team of nimble and passionate Chefs, you will have shared responsibility for producing premium items for our loyal customers. You will have a passion to learn and grow with the business:
- Food Preparation and Cooking: Execute recipes according to standards, ensuring the quality, taste, and presentation meet the restaurant's expectations. Coordinate with other chefs to ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes.
- Section Management: Take ownership of your assigned section (e.g., sauces, grill, pastry) and manage all aspects, including mise en place, cooking, plating, and cleanliness. Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the Executive Chef/Sous Chef for restocking needs.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of food items to ensure freshness, taste, and appearance. Maintain cleanliness and organization in your section, following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Training and Supervision: Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, ensuring they understand recipes, cooking techniques, and kitchen protocols. Provide guidance during service to maintain efficiency and quality.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes, test recipes, and contribute ideas for seasonal menus or specials. Monitor customer feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve products.
- Adherence to Standards: Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and cooking methods to maintain consistency. Adhere to kitchen policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients.

- Proven experience in a similar role is advantageous for success
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends, holidays and seasonal periods
- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, teamwork and genuine concern for others
- Work effectively with other departments to ensure our customers have access to the best of the best and keep coming back for more
- Must be able to prioritise your day-to-day work, show initiative and enthusiasm
- Have great problem solving skills and be able think outside the box
