Position Overview:
As the Kitchen Manager at Camp Sunnystones, you'll be at the heart of our kitchen operations, overseeing everything from menu development to staff supervision and training. Your role is pivotal, ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently to provide delicious and nutritious meals for our guests. You'll work closely with management and the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food experiences that exceed our guests' expectations.

Your Role & Responsibilities:
Staff supervision and training: Lead and mentor our kitchen team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality meals and service.
Customer liaison: Communicate with teachers of current and future school groups, as well as catered weekend guests, to understand their food preferences and dietary requirements. Work closely with our program manager to understand student and teacher requirements and tailor menus accordingly.
Document management: Create and maintain documentation related to kitchen operations, including recipes, procedures, and safety protocols. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for kitchen processes to maintain consistency and quality.
Menu development: Create menus that cater to the diverse needs of students, staff and guests, including dietary allergies, restrictions, and preferences.
Compliance: Ensure kitchen operations comply with company guidelines and food safety regulations.
Order and receive food: Manage food orders ensuring timely delivery and quality of products.
Roster Kitchen Staff: Create and manage kitchen staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
Budget management: Manage food and kitchen equipment budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
Experience Required:
Proven experience in kitchen management, preferably in a similar setting.
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a team effectively.
