About the role:
As the Cafe Manager you will be expected to work alongside your team, offering 'hands on' support to ensure your store is operationally efficient, maximising productivity and profitability.
You will also be responsible for:
Leading a diverse team
Recruiting, inducting and training employees;
Controlling cost of employment through effective rostering and shift planning
- planning menus (Specials) in consultation with Chefs
- arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
- maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
- conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
- selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff
- may take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
About you:
You will be a positive, proactive individual with outstanding communication skills and a high level of literacy and numeracy skills. You will also possess:
3-5 years’ previous experience in a similar role;
A confident and professional attitude;
Proven knowledge of employment relations, WHS requirements and labour management;
Barista knowledge will be advantageous.
