Cafe Manager

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cafe Manager to lead our team and manage operations at our lobby cafe located in Sydney CBD. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing a busy cafe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the cafe, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service.
• Hire, train, and schedule cafe staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, such as introducing new menu items, promotional offers, and optimizing pricing.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing feedback and resolving any issues promptly.
• Monitor and control operating costs, including labor, supplies, and waste management.
• Implement effective marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers, both within the office building and the surrounding area.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cafe Manager or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and health standards.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Understanding of financial principles and experience in budgeting and cost control.
• Certification in hospitality management or a related field is desirable.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
