About Restaurant: Ballina's Indian Kitchen is one of the very well-known Indian Restaurants located in Ballina, Northern Rivers, NSW. It is fully licensed and provides exotic Indian kitchen menu.
To be considered for this role you must have:
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma.
- At least two years of relevant experience or five years if without formal qualification.
- Knowledge of Indian cooking methods and ingredients
Role:
The position of Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing all operations of the restaurant including management of Floor, Bar, and Indian kitchen on a day-to-day basis. The Restaurant Manager is an integral part of the Management Team and is responsible for constant monitoring of Floor and bar and kitchen activities, and for guiding and assisting staff.
Your main duties include:
• Overseeing the operation of the restaurant and to ensure excellence in serving food and beverage in a professional and efficient manner.
• Planning menus with Chef, estimate food costs and profits and adjusts menus.
• Monitoring quality control: ensuring guest satisfaction of food and service, restaurant cleanliness, appearance and accessibility is consistently to a high standard
• Recruit, hire, select and train and roaster staff member as and when required, provide induction and ongoing training to staff in areas such as customer service, sales techniques, understanding the menu – names and ingredients of food, occupational health, safety and hygiene and cross-cultural communication and ensure that they are confidently able to perform all job duties and rewards, disciplines and terminates appropriately.
• Developing a customer driven culture amongst staff members and maintain a sales focused climate
• Ensuring that all health and food safety codes, product preparation and cleanliness standards are maintained as per Health and Safety Law and best industry practice
• Inspecting the dining rooms, kitchen, and storage facilities for cleanliness to ensure the restaurant meets health and safety requirements.
• Maintain record of stocks, ordering food and supplies and managing the finance of the restaurant.
• Financial and budget reporting to directors to indicate business performance.
The suitable candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills. Salary: $ 71,000 to 77,000 AUD per annum
