Cafe Manager

About Our Company:

Bay Vista Dessert Bar and Café is a vibrant and innovative food establishment in Parramatta, NSW established in 2017. Our charming café is known for its vast array of food and beverage offerings, providing a delightful culinary experience for our customer. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Café Manger to lead our team and manage all aspects of our instore operation.

About the role:

The position is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the café and will be reporting to our General Manager and the job description includes but is not limited to

• Collaborating with the Head chef, General Manager and the Director about  the formulation and pricing of the menu and different promotional strategies

·        Managing the daily operations of the Café in a controlled manner

·   Planning promotional & special sales for various occasions to boost the sale of new products and increase the operational performance of the Café.

·         Ensure that all food and beverages are served on time and are of the highest quality.

·     Responsible for end of day reports, the security of cash and stock onsite, ensuring all stock control and cash handling procedures are implemented at all times.

·  To accomplish cafe human resource objectives by assisting in recruiting, selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling and disciplining employees.

·        Coach and train all employees to consistently exceed customer expectations.

·        Take responsibility to resolve customer complaints or concerns.

·        Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Regulations. 

About you:

We are looking for individuals with: A genuine love of customer service - this means making customers happy and striving to keep them coming back.

At least 2 years experience ina fast paced café environment as a supervisor or manager.

·         Ability to build great relationships with staff and guests.

·         The ability to plan in advance with strong time-management skills.

·         Have the ability to build, train and mentor a team.

·         Be able to help maximise profitability and control costs.

·         Experience as a barista is highly preferred.

·         A great can-do attitude.

·         Must be well presented with pride in appearance.

·         Enjoys working in a team environment and enjoys supporting others.

Other Details

Type – Full-time, Permanent

Salary – AUD 70,000 per year plus superannuation
