Cafe Manager/Catering Manager

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cafe Manager to organise and control the operations of our cafe, restaurant, or related establishment to provide dining and catering services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:

• Plan manufacturing in consultation with client orders, taking into account customer preferences, seasonal availability, and budget considerations.
• Organise and oversee special functions, including catering events, ensuring that all aspects are planned and executed to the highest standards.
• Arrange the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget, maintaining cost controls while ensuring high-quality ingredients.
• Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
• Ensure that facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional, and of suitable appearance at all times.
• Confer with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Select, train, and supervise waiting and kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members adhere to company policies and standards.
• Ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers.

Qualifications & Skills

• Suitable certification or relevant experience.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on providing a positive and supportive work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Experience

• At least two years' experience in a similar environment.
• Previous experience in cafe or restaurant management, with a strong background in food service operations.
