AddressKailis Bros Leederville is seeking an experienced, motivated and proactive Seafood Sales Manager to manage the Wholesale Fish Market operation.
The Seafood Wholesale Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the wholesale seafood business including customer experience, seafood buying, fish processing, stock control, sales & staff training, budget requirements and sales targets.
We are seeking applicants with solid wholesale and retail management experience. We pride our reputation on the highest quality of seafood and service and are seeking a highly committed individual to join our existing vibrant team. With extensive administration and back-office support, this role will focus on leadership of our wholesale team, ensuring the team is delivering consistently professional, efficient service and quality products to our wholesale customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold weekly sales meetings that review previous sales, lead generation and set objectives for the Wholesale team.
- Identify and communicate weekly requirements of seafood for wholesale customers to the Seafood Procurement and Operations Manager
- Identify and communicate in writing any quality or pricing concerns to the Seafood Procurement and Operations Manager
- Assist the retail operations including supervising and managing store opening and closing as required
- Work with the Seafood Retail Manager to utilise staff across the business to reduce overall cost and enhance profitability
- Meet with customers, suppliers and staff as required to drive overall the success of the business
- Support the Seafood Retail Manager and the overall Kailis Bros business with meeting its wholesale objectives to maximise the value and volume of its catch.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- At least 5 years wholesale, production or supply chain management experience
- Proven expertise in delivering on sales targets and a strength in building sales as well as controlling costs, managing waste and shrinkage.
- Prior Food/Hospitality experience viewed favourably as well as a knowledge of HACCP and food safety programs.
- A hands-on approach and be extremely passionate about customer service and building positive relationships.
- Exposure to effective staff management including rostering, performance management, training, and recruitment.
- Knowledge of effective stock management including purchasing
- Pro-active and professional in approach, presentation, and work.
- Passionate about safety, cleanliness and adhering to food standards.
- Knowledge, passion and previous experience in the seafood industry is an advantage.
