We use quality, local and indigenous ingredients and strive to maintain a very high standard of food, beverage and customer service, to create memorable experiences for our guests and our team. Guyala is open 7 days for breakfast and lunch, and 5 nights for dinner.
The Supervisor position requires:
Minimum 2 years specialty cafe experience
Have a high standard of customer service
Excellent communication skills
An attitude towards constant improvement
Ability to work in busy environment
Ability to supervise trainees or floor staff where necessary
The Duties includes but not limited to
Assist the Venue Manager when required
Communicating effectively with the team and customers
Supervising and assisting floor staff in their duties
Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
Maintain safe, clean and organised work spaces
Ensure dining facility complies with health regulations and are clean, functional and of exceptional appearance
Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
Supervisor duties may also include assisting the Cafe Manager role with:
Attend team management meetings
Rostering according to the demands and budget of the cafe
Electing, training and supervising floor staff
Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
Reporting duties including Cost of Goods
