About the Role
Based at our Iagifu Ridge operations, the Campaign LeadingHand Electrical ensures the plant is maintained to provide maximum availability throughout the year. It assists the site maintenance supervisor to organise, plan and execute daily maintenance activities and ensuring team members execute all tasks to adequate standards in a safe and timely manner.
This position would suit candidates who seek a future within Santos as a future maintenance supervisor or person who wishes to extend their current trade skills into the supervisory area.
Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Regular consultation with the Maintenance Supervisor, to support scheduling and to monitor completion of work.
- Information gathering and monitor of equipment for other team members, and reviewing work conducted for quality assurance purposes
- Performing corrective maintenance work to the required level of competence
- Co-ordinate work inside the plant areas, arrange permits, monitor the work carried on in these areas including work done by maintenance contractors
- Engage in the development of a high-quality culture through mentoring team members and the implementation of Quality systems / processes
- Coordinating plant area shutdowns with the assigned Planner
- Support the maintenance of JDE equipment lists by reporting any errors, omissions or improvements in details, spare parts and PMs
- Upholding HSES & Environmental Policies and standards by demonstrating and encouraging safe practices, and by participating in the implementation of action plans
- Performing root cause analysis and production loss reporting
- Compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS), Corporate Governance and Safety requirements.
About You
- Current PNG Electrical Licence and electrical trade certification within mining or oil and gas installations.
- Demonstrated equivalent experience performing electrical trades work, either as a leading hand or at a senior or leadership level.
- Experience with plant maintenance trades work to a standard which is reflective of your senior trade skills and experience
- Experience in supervising and mentoring other tradespeople
- Willingness to be vaccinated or currently hold a recognised Vaccination Card
- Commitment to incident free operations and HSES excellence.
