Wilmar Sugar & Renewables is on the hunt for an energetic and passionate Cane Supply Manager to join our team in Proserpine, Queensland. If you love problem-solving, logistics, and engaging with local growers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of cane to our operations, requiring a mix of energy, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine passion for logistics. You'll also have the opportunity to cultivate strong relationships with our local growers and the local grower representative body.
As a pivotal player on our team, reporting directly to the General Manager of Cane Supply and Grower Relations, this role calls for more than just technical know-how. You'll be at the forefront of steering our strategic direction, navigating through complex challenges with finesse, and propelling innovative initiatives forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead and implement Environment, Health, and Safety initiatives.
• Provide clear and impactful strategic guidance.
• Ensure the smooth and cost-effective operation of our logistics operations, driving efficiency.
• Build and maintain positive connections with Growers and Grower Representative Bodies.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork across our business departments.
About you
You don't need to be Sugar flavoured, but ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in management or business - particularly in logistics. However, if you possess innate leadership abilities, a knack for problem-solving, exceptional communication skills (and are keen to get some fishing in on the weekend!) we're eager to hear from you!
