Fixed term contract for Term 3, 2024

We are seeking an individual with the experience and energy to work in the busy canteen as a Canteen Assistant. This role forms part of the Catering Department and provides high-quality customer service to students across the Junior, Middle and Senior Schools.
This role supports the College’s Canteen operation by way of lunch order collation, food preparation, shelf restocking and sales. This includes preparation of hundreds of healthy pre-ordered meals each day, and other duties as required to assist the Catering team. The expectation is that the highest quality standards are met whilst maintaining excellent communication with the wider community including students and staff at Wesley College.
We are seeking a candidate who is motivated, flexible and a team player. Our ideal candidate will have:
- proven relevant kitchen experience;
- clear understanding of Food Safety Guidelines and demonstrated adherence to internal policies, procedures, systems and organisational values;
- a certificate in food safety and food handling;
- ability to work without supervision;
- well-developed organisational skills and the ability to multitask;
- reliable, honest, approachable, and friendly nature, and a professional attitude.
This is a part-time position, offered on a fixed term basis from July through to Sept 2024. The role will commence ASAP and candidates must be able to commit to the role for the duration of the contract term.
