Form of workCanteen Kings are currently looking to bring on board Canteen Assistants and Canteen Cooks to help us run our busy canteen and catering company.
Prospective employees need to be available to work from 0830-1430 Mon to Fri with a minimum of 3 days a week required.
You will get the training and guidance required to get you up to speed.
Some of the main skills required are:
- Food preparation.
- Counter service with both cash & card sales.
- Cleaning
- Stock and rotation of product.
Experience in canteens is not required but any experience in the hospitality industry will be beneficial and basic cooking skills would be a plus!
We currently have a team of 30 staff working daily in multiple schools throughout the Western suburbs.
They are well-trained teams and work great together.
The hours make travel to and from work easy and while it's a busy workplace, it's very well managed and the days go fast!
As you will be working on a government school site, you will be required to have up-to-date:
- Working With Children Check https://www.wa.gov.au/organisation/department-of-communities/working-children-check-application-and-renewal-process
- Education Department Criminal History Check https://www.education.wa.edu.au/ncchc
- Food & Safety certificate https://dofoodsafely.health.vic.gov.au/index.php/en/assessment
If you need any of these then we can help arrange it but you will not be able to work until you at least have a receipt of the application for each of them.
