In this pivotal role, you will lead our maintenance personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and OEMs, driving excellence in all facets of our operations.Pembroke Resource's Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres south-east of Moranbah which commenced mining operations mid-2023. Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (Autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as construction of the mine infrastructure.Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring key maintenance personnel onsite
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to the site maintenance teams
- Championing safety to foster a proactive approach
- Engaging employees effectively to meet departmental goals
- Ensuring sustainable budgeting and cost control measures
- Leading innovation and improvements in systems and equipment.
About youTo excel in this role, you'll need to be a team-focused achiever, dedicated to fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Your background in open-cut coal mining and a proven track record of delivering results will be crucial.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant Trade qualification
- Extensive leadership experience in mobile plant maintenance
- Proficiency in S1, S2, S3, and G2 competencies
- Familiarity with JDE Maintenance Management application (desirable)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
- Dedication to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
