An exciting opportunity has become available for an experience cook to join the HFA Team! Based at our brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Heathwood QLD, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in meeting all canteens quality, customer service and profitability goals. Reporting to the Chef Manager, you will ensure efficient canteen operation and maintain high production, productivity, quality and customer - service standards.
- Ensuring a high standard of Health, Safety and Cleanliness in the kitchen;
- Preparation of all meals according to our ‘Healthy Food’ philosophy, required to be served on a daily basis;
- Stock rotation & maintenance;
- Assist in formulating, implementing and executing seasonal menus to suit venue requirements;
- Assist in product ordering, stock control and waste measures to maintain food costings;
- Assist in Maintaining food quality and presentation during operation periods;
- Cooking in large quantities;
- Customer service and engaging with all team members.

About you:
- Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery;
- Food Safety Certificate 3;
- HACCP Basic Principles;
- Confident & well spoken – you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Impeccable presentation & personal hygiene;
- Previous experience working in a similar, fast-paced environment highly regarded;
- Self-motivated with high energy and stamina;
- A good understanding of GMP and OHS requirements;
- The ability to work effectively in a small team.
