Our client is a long standing, highly respected brand. A need exists for a capital controller/Capital Accountant or fixed asset accountant to join their large team, assuming responsibility for the logistics of all capital work in progress and non-current assets, domestically and internationally.
Reporting to the GM-Finance, key responsibilities include:
- Managing the capex request process for all entities against the capital budget for the financial year
- Reporting and managing assets under construction monthly
- Maintaining fixed assets register
- Creation and disposal of fixed assets
- Complete balance reconciliations monthly for non current assets
- Communicating with executives and key stakeholders on spend and budget
- Liaising with external auditors for all capital audit queries
- Approve/decline capital purchase requisitions
- Managing asset depreciation
- Monthly and annual group statutory reporting, board presentations, capital work in progress cash flow reporting etc
- Assist with capital budgets and 5 year capital plans
Our ideal applicant will be a highly effective communicator, with outstanding time management skills. We need an organised team player, with a keen eye for detail.
You should MS Office proficient, with extensive reconciliation experience within a high volume environment. The position would suit an experience Fixed Assets person or potentially someone looking to make a move to commerce from public practice. Minimum degree qualified required, with progression to CA/CPA status.
