TP Human Capital is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for a temporary assignment. You will be responsible for managing the payroll of a significant number of staff members, with pay rates ranging from $46 to $71 per hour depending upon the experience level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate system data to ensure employee personnel files remain up to date.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate auditing procedures.
- Respond to payroll queries and provide valuable advice to key stakeholders on solutions to enhance payroll performance.
- Foster strong working relationships with payroll team members, key stakeholders, and HR.
- Stay informed about developments in industry practices and provide recommendations to management for improving payroll processes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support to our employees regarding any payroll-related inquiries.
- Demonstrate the ability to comprehend multiple instruments and apply your knowledge effectively.
- Exercise initiative and judgment when problem-solving.
- Possess strong numeracy skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Process large volumes of work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Extensive experience using payroll software.
- Exposure to high-volume payroll processing is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- In-depth understanding of payroll legislation and processes.
- Ability to interpret relevant legislation.
